Sweet Lips Farms provides the level of care every discerning horse owner would like to furnish at home, but may not have the land or time availability to meet these demands.
Boarding at Sweet Lips Farms is the natural choice for both horses and their owners. Horses enjoy natural living on large, well-maintained pastures safely enclosed with horse-friendly fencing. Every pasture has run in shelters and mature trees for shade and protection, and horses always have access to fresh water and a mineral salt block. Most of our boarding is self-care, which encourages a relaxed, hands-on environment for the whole barn “family”.

The health of our horse herds is important to us. regular preventative health measures for all horses on the farm.
At Sweet Lips Farms, we do our best to ensure that all horses are in good health. For boarded horses, Sweet Lips Farms provides the best pasture possible during the growing season and hay during the winter, as well as salt blocks in the pastures. When new horses arrive they will placed in a secluded area for quarantine, (during this time owners will be required to deworm). We also require boarders to participate in the following preventative health care plans:
Our vet-recommended deworming program is integral to keeping our herds free of parasites. Sweet Lips Farms orders the dewormers when they are due and invoices boarders directly.
Most horses only need to be dewormed once or twice a year (Spring and fall) Before deworming, we recommend having a fecal egg count (FEC) done.
To keep preventive care simple and most cost effective, Sweet Lips schedules a vet day twice a year. Vaccinations and coggins testing are required at these times for all boarders.
